100 Million Trees Project

The 100 Million Trees Project, a new national initiative which aims to see the planting of 100 million native Irish trees across the island of Ireland throughout the next decade, came to Ballyneale village today.

Pupils from the infant room and third and fourth went to a patch of land close to the community field to view the planting of the bare-root native Irish trees.

They got a chance to label some of the trees with their name – so they own a tree! We look forward to checking on the trees progress throughout the year and over the coming years.

Thank you to the field committee for inviting us to attend.
