A big thank you to Anne Kennedy from C.A.R.E cancer support group who gave a very informative talk to the 5th and 6th class students. C.A.R.E is one of the charities we will be supporting through our cake sale next Friday the 24th of October. Anne spoke about the importance of supporting those who have a cancer diagnosis through counselling and alternative therapies available at the C.A.R.E centre on Wellington Street in Clonmel. Their service is free and they rely entirely on donations, so Ballyneale school is delighted to support them next Friday.
The boys in 5th and 6th class attended a ‘HSA Keep Safe Programme’ on Tuesday the 7th of October.
A number of organisations participated in the event (HSA, Junior Achievement Ireland, Bus Éireann, ESB Networks, Civil Defence, Garda Síochána, Irish Coast Guard, Irish Water safety, County Council – Road Safety, Fire Services, Construction Industry Federation and Teagasc).
The boys enjoyed the day and learned loads about safety.
