Our first snow day of 2015!
Thank you to the Parent’s Council who supplied the school with some outdoor playground games [Jenga, Connect 4 and Polydrons.] Every class has an opportunity at lunch time during the week to have some fun with these games. These activities are a great addition to the games already taking place at lunch times.
The Be Active After School Activity Programme for 1st and 2nd Class started this Wednesday. For the next 6 weeks pupils will be involved in game related station activities. The County Finals in Spikeball take place on the 4th February in Moyle Rovers GAA Club in Fethard. This year we will have two mixed teams competing. Training takes place every Tuesday after school from 3-4pm for 3rd to 6th Class.
On Tuesday the 20th, pupils from 3rd to 6th Class travelled to Cahir and took part in the 7 a side soccer tournament. Ballyneale were up against the bigger schools of Carrick CBS, St. Peter and Pauls, The Monastery and Corville. Soccer training with Ian begins on Monday next [12th January] from 3 – 4pm after school.
Zumba for the junior classes and swimming for 3rd to 6th Class begin next week on Wednesday the 14th January.
The Cahir Park Soccer Tournament will take place on Tuesday the 2oth January. This is a 7 a side competition. Keep posted for future training sessions.
Spikeball training starts next Tuesday the 24th of January at 3 – 4pm for 3rd to 6th Class. The Spikeball County Competition takes place on Wednesday the 4th of February in Moyle Rovers hall.
