There will be a quiz in Rathgormack tomorrow night [Thursday the 19th] at 7.30 p.m. The school will be represented by two teams. The first team is Maeve McGuigan, Oisín Crowley, Abby Boxwell and Eimhin Hanrahan. The second team is Seán O’Meara, Keelan Hanrahan, Erin Hanrahan and Holly Coburn.
Knitting starts back next Wednesday for 6 weeks [before and after Easter.] We will be making hand puppets, concentrating on the sewing skills of tacking. Pupils will also be shown how to make a tapestry using a latch hook. Knits will include chickens, eggs, shamrocks and bunting.
Soccer takes place next Thursday after school with Eugene and Ian for boys and girls. The FAI Primary Schools Soccer Competition takes place in Littleton mid March. We are entering a boys and girls team in this competition.
The First Penance is on Tuesday the 3rd March at 7pm for 2nd Class students.
Zumba is now finished for Junior to 2nd Class pupils. They really enjoyed the last six weeks with Breda Kirby who worked extremely well with the pupils. Thank you to Breda for all her hard work.
There is one week of swimming left in Clonmel pool. This takes place at the usual time of next Wednesday morning the 25th February. There has been a huge improvement in pupils’ confidence in the water, stroke and life saving skills.
The last session of the Be Active After Schools Activity Programme takes place next Tuesday after school.
Students had a lovely day yesterday. After swimming, they went to the new exhibition at Clonmel Museum. They then had lunch in Mulcahy Park and had some fun in the playground.
