School Garden

Yesterday we did a little bit of gardening with Miss O’ Dwyer. First we dug up the weeds and then we turned over the soil.

Agri Aware’s Incredible Edibles generously gave us some strawberry plants to sow. Next we dug up some holes to put our strawberries in. As well as planting strawberries we also planted some potatoes. We put three potatoes in one black plastic bag. We half filled the bag with compost and then we put the three potatoes facing upwards and filled the rest of the bag with more compost. We put the bag in the bed. Afterwards we cleaned up.
