Pupils from 3rd to 6th Class went on a nature walk today in Kilcash woods. After a gentle warm up led by the parents, the children set off on a 6km loop in the woods near Kilcash Castle. Along the route, Mr. McHale taught the children about many of the deciduous and evergreen trees in the woods – Silver Birch, Oak, Norwegian Spruce, Holly and Sycamore. We were also lucky enough to spot some frogspawn in a big puddle!
Everyone had a lovely day and we were very lucky with the weather. Thank you to the parents for their help on the walk.
