A team of six students have started debating through the Waterford Teachers’ Centre debating competition.
The team consists of speakers Maeve [captain], Sarah and Oisín who are ably assisted by researchers, Issy, Michaela and Erin.
They had their first friendly debate against Knockmahon on Monday. Both teams spoke very well on the motion of ‘School uniforms are a good idea.’
We look forward to the first round of the debating competition on Friday the 20th when the team have to oppose the motion ‘There should be an hour of exercise every day in school’. The team will be debating against Rathgormack NS who are proposing the motion.
