Thank you to all pupils, Mary O’Hanlon, Jane, staff, parents and Santa for making Friday night’s pageant a great success. The audience in Ballyneale Church were treated to the story of The Nativity, songs from Junior and Senior Infants, guitar playing by students of Jane, Christmas carols and a wonderful visit by Santa.
The pageant is taking place tonight in Ballyneale Church at 6.30 pm. All pupils will be participating. The cast need to be at the church at 5.30 to get into costume, the rest of the pupils 5.45 pm.
The 5th and 6th Class pupils are starting a 6 week block of yoga with Ms. Whelan. Here are some of the yoga sequences they will be doing.
The last after school class of knitting takes place next Wednesday. A big thank you to Mary, Ann, Vera and Caroline for helping out.
The annual Santa walk takes place next Thursday the 17th!
The date for Confirmation is the 28th April at 2 pm.
The Be Active after school programme will be starting once again after Christmas. We will post exact dates nearer the time.
Ballyneale N.S has an Active Schools Flag. On Wednesday we had an inspector from the Active Schools Flag initiative in the school. She went to all classes and observed and questioned the students on how Ballyneale School is keeping to its commitment to be an Active School. The boys from 3rd and 4th reached the semi-finals of the Futsal competition last Tuesday in Thurles. Well done to all the pupils involved.
The school is closed this Monday and Tuesday, the 7th and 8th.
