Students in 5th and 6th class this week investigated the amount of sugar in everyday foods.
Parents Helen and Nicola joined Ms. Whelan and Ms. O’Dwyer as they helped the students examine various packages to check the amounts of sugar in their contents.
They read the ingredients and measured out how much sugar was in a food item. They then made projects based on their findings which they showed to the rest of the school.
We were shocked by some of the results!
