The school trip to Adventure World at the University of Limerick takes place tomorrow for 3rd to 6th classes. Cycling lessons and road safety skills are continuing in the school for 3rd to 6th classes. Everyone is enjoying the learning experience.
A drumming performance will take place on Tuesday the 7th June with Rhythm and Shakes who have been teaching drumming here in the school for the past number of weeks. All are welcome to attend. Further details to follow.
Induction for new Junior Infants will take place on Thursday the 9th June at 2pm.
On Wednesday pupils from 2nd to 6th class took part in Clonmel Athletics Club’s annual competition. Pupils competed in the 300m, 100m, relay and ball throw competitions. School will be closed this Monday the 23rd. It will also be closed next Friday the 27th for teacher inservice.
The 5th and 6th Class Girls will be participating in a Ladies Football Tournament in Moyle Rovers on the 10th of June. We won this tournament last year and we hope to repeat our success. Ciaran is currently doing football with the 3rd to 6th class pupils.
Third and Fourth Class pupils will be participating in the Cahir Soccer Tournament on Wednesday the 8th June. Training is taking place at the moment with Ian Sheehan and is going very well.
Pupils from 3rd to 6th class visited Clonmel Museum this week to view their 1916 exhibition. They tried on various clothes and uniforms from the time. They also listened to a guest speaker who interacted with the pupils. They really enjoyed the day.
Active Schools Week takes place this year from the 13th to the 17th June. The sports day will take place towards the end of this week. Active Schools Week involves every pupil in the school.
