School Trip Tomorrow

The school trip to Adventure World at the University of Limerick takes place tomorrow for 3rd to 6th classes.

The bus will depart at 8 a.m sharp from the school and return at approximately 7 pm to the school.

Pupils can wear a tracksuit and suitable footwear.  They will also need to bring swim suit, swim cap and towel, old t-shirt, shorts and flip flops/old shoes.  A complete change of clothing for the return journey is also recommended.  Sun protection cream, 2 packed lunches, plenty of drinks, plastic bags [for wet gear], clothing and footwear.

The bus will be stopping at McDonalds on the way home so students need to bring a maximum of E10 to cover the cost of this meal.

Cycling

Cycling lessons and road safety skills are continuing in the school for 3rd to 6th classes.  Everyone is enjoying the learning experience.

Drumming

A drumming performance will take place on Tuesday the 7th June with Rhythm and Shakes who have been teaching drumming here in the school for the past number of weeks.  All are welcome to attend.  Further details to follow.

New Infant Induction

Induction for new Junior Infants will take place on Thursday the 9th June at 2pm.

Athletics

On Wednesday pupils from 2nd to 6th class took part in Clonmel Athletics Club’s annual competition.  Pupils competed in the 300m, 100m, relay and ball throw competitions.

The pupils did so well in their individual and relay events that we won the overall boys and girls perpetual shields for the year.  Well done to all those who participated, they made us proud.

 

 

 

School Closure

School will be closed this Monday the 23rd.  It will also be closed next Friday the 27th for teacher inservice.

Ladies Football Tournament

The 5th and 6th Class Girls will be participating in a Ladies Football Tournament in Moyle Rovers on the 10th of June.  We won this tournament last year and we hope to repeat our success.  Ciaran is currently doing football with the 3rd to 6th class pupils.
