Pupils from third to sixth very much enjoyed the visits to both Kilmainham Gaol and Glasnevin cemetery. This tour took place on Friday November 11th. Even though it was an early start in the morning with a long round trip, spirits remained high all day.
We first went to Kilmainham Gaol where we were given a tour of the prison cells and courtyards. Afterwards we were allowed to roam the museum upstairs in Kilmainham Gaol and examine all the artefacts on show from 1916.
Next on the agenda was a trip to Glasnevin Cemetery, where again we were escorted around and shown the graves of great leaders from the past.
Here are some pictures from our eventful day.
