Christmas Pageant

This year’s Christmas Pageant was a wonderful occasion including the Nativity Play, School Choir and Jane’s Guitar Group.

Thanks to all that came to witness it, it really marks the start of the Christmas Season here in Ballyneale.

Thanks to Mary O’Hanlon for directing the Christmas Pageant.  Thanks to all the staff for their time and effort and to all the children. There was a lot of work put in behind the scenes to make it so flawless. Here are a few pictures from behind the scenes….

This year’s Christmas Pageant will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Ballyneale on Wednesday December 21st at 6.30pm.

It will feature the Nativity Play, School Choir and Jane’s Guitar Group.

This is a wonderful occasion for the school.

Thanks to Mary O’Hanlon for directing the Christmas Pageant.  Thanks to all the staff for their time and effort and to all the children.

It is great to see the whole school community working so closely together.

Swimming Lessons

Swimming lessons will begin at Clonmel Swimming Pool for children from 3rd to 6th Class on Wednesday January 11th for seven weeks.  These lessons are subsidised by the Parents’ Association and will now cost each child €30.00.

Artist in Residence Programme

Margueritte Kent has finished our project “Seasons on the River Suir”.  We were delighted with Margueritte and the children and staff learnt lots of new art processes.

The wall hangings will be on display in Carrick-on-Suir Library in January 2017 and we are looking forward to seeing the children’s work being displayed in public.

Debating

The school has entered the Concern’s Primary Schools’ Debating Competition.  The school will debate against S.S. Peter’s and Paul’s C.B.S. Clonmel and St. Michael’s N.S. Clerihan in January.

Knitting

Knitting lessons are continuing every Wednesday after school.  Thanks to all our volunteers – Miss Whelan, Mary Walsh, Anne Strappe, Mary Blanchfield, Nicola Phelan, Caroline Dowley, Sheila Power and Vera Power for all their help. Some photos to follow soon of the lovely articles produced….
