A hearty Congratulations and well done to the Bartley sisters Eilish and Sarah who competed and medalled at the community games in Thurles at the weekend. They both did very well, Sarah came first in under 8 front crawl which means that she will now compete in the All Irelands this summer.
Just to wish all our second class pupils the very best as they will have their first penance in St. Mary’s Church, Ballyneale on Monday 13th March at 7pm.
There has been a change in the upcoming school mass celebrated by Fr. Jimmy Browne will now take place on Wednesday 15th March in St. Mary’s Church, Ballyneale at 9.45am. All are welcome.

Knitting lessons have just started back and will be held each Wednesday until we break for Easter. Thanks to all our volunteers: Anne Strappe, Vera Power, Mary Blanchfield, Sheila Power, Caroline Dowley, Nicola Phelan and Mary Walsh for all their help and to Miss Whelan for organising the lessons.

We are very excited that Yoga is starting at the school on March 7th for four weeks for Junior Infants to Second Class.
The children had an unforgettable day on ShroveTuesday. Sincere thanks to Nicola Phelan, Sharon Harte, Collette Gleeson and Jeanne Walsh who volunteered to make pancakes and made the day so enjoyable for the children.
Gymnastic lessons recently took place in the Community Hall after school for First and Second Class pupils before the midterm. Thanks to Miss Whelan and Mr. Brennan for facilitating these lessons. The kids really enjoyed the sessions and thank you to the parents also for arranging pickups at the different times.
