The final total raised at our cake and book sale today is €812.52. All proceeds go to the Evan Hickey fund.
Thank you all.
A fantastic busy day today at our cake and book sale. So far we’ve raised a massive €655 for the Evan Hickey fund. His dad, Joe Hickey very kindly came into the school to tell us about Evan and his illness. He also gave us lovely certificates of appreciation for all the pupils. A very thoughtful gesture.
A massive thank you to all the parents who donated cakes and books for the day. Also to the parents who helped out today since morning, Jeanne, Sharon and Caroline.
Kate O’Hora and Zac Cleary won the Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin competition which was 3kg.
Charlie Skehan was the lucky winner of the raffle for the Halloween cake by Colette Gleeson. Thank you again to Colette.
Thank you to all for your contributions.
Come along to the cake and book sale tomorrow from 11am until 3pm. There will be lots of donated goodies and books for sale for the Evan Hickey charity.
Junior Infants were helping out today by sorting the small, medium and big books donated and making playdough cakes and buns [not for sale!]
Congratulations to all who ran today in Marlfield as part of the Primary Schools Cross Country event. Everyone put in a fantastic effort.

This Friday the 27th of October we will be hosting our annual Cake and Book Sale. It will be starting at 11am and will go on until 3pm. All funds will be going towards Evan Hickey. Evan is a young Clonmel man who tragically developed a cyst in his brain and urgently needs money for an operation in America to get his life back.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could bring in buns, cakes, healthy treats etc and second hand books to sell on the day.
We hope to see you there this Friday to support a great cause, from the Student Council of Ballyneale N.S. Jack Bourke, Jack Kinsella, Callum McFadden, Lenny Murray and Kate O’Hora.
Thank you to Colette Gleeson who gave in this Halloween cake to raffle for the Cake and Book Sale on Friday. All proceeds go to Evan Hickey who needs a life saving operation.
