The school has entered the Concern Primary Schools Debating Competition for 5th and 6th classes.
Our first debate was against Ursuline Convent Primary School in Waterford. On the team that day was Annie, Kate and Thomas. Ballyneale opposed the motion that ‘People should be fined for not recycling’. Unfortunately Ballyneale did not win but we hope for success in our next debate where we will be proposing the motion that ‘The Goal to end world hunger will be achieved by 2030’.
This will be against Mount Sion on Tuesday the 5th December in Ballyneale.
