The school will close for holidays today at 12.30 pm and re-open for children on Thursday the 30th of August at 9.20 am. Have an enjoyable and safe summer.
Rebecca Power and John Bourke have kindly offered to organise a Cycle Fundraiser to raise funds for the school. This year it will take place in September. Your support would be much appreciated. If you know of any business who would like to donate or contribute any refreshments for our event, please let us know.
The annual sports day took place yesterday in the school. In the morning teams rotated in station activities and in the afternoon they competed in the field events of egg and spoon, sack, three legged race and running races. Thank you to the Parents Association for organising drinks and fruit during the day.
A mixed team from 3rd and 4th class took part in a GAA Garda Blitz on Wednesday. They were up against stiff competition but never gave up. The pupils were given hot food and refreshments during the day and a certificate for their participation.
Girls from 3rd to 6th will be taking part in an International Girls Day event in Carrick on Suir RFC this Monday the 25th June. The girls will get a chance to meet with International and Munster players and take part in skills, games and fun.
