We are all sad to hear that Maddy and Lucy Ingersoll will be leaving us to return to Florida. They were a pleasure to have in the school.
Two of our pupils recently were awarded runner up prizes in two seperate national short story competitions. Conor Bourke [Ireland’s Own] and Raymond Walsh [educate.ie]. Congratulations and well done!
Tennis lessons for all pupils starts on Thursday 21st March for 4 weeks. Details will be given near the day.
Pupils from 3rd to 6th visited Clonmel museum on their final day of swimming. They got to visit the “Reflections” exhibition and also enjoyed some time in the park afterwards.
The debating team will debate against the Presentation Waterford on the 12th March. Best of luck to them.
As part of our Active Schools Programme we will be starting our “Mile a Day Challenge” on Monday 4th March. Staff and pupils will walk for approximately 15 minutes at 9.20 a.m.
Thank you to the Parents Association who have subsidised many activities in the school through all their fundraising efforts. They are holding a table quiz in Lisadobber pub on Friday 22nd March at 8pm. Tables of 4 are €20. Your support will be much appreciated.
Enrolment forms are now available at the office for parents who wish to enrol their children in Ballyneale NS for September 2019. They must be returned by April 26th.
School will close on Monday 18th March, Friday 12th April for Easter Holidays and will reopen on Monday the 29th April. The school will also close on Monday 10th June.
