County Cross Country Competition

The Tipperary Primary Schools Cross Country Championships will take place on Thursday 26th September in Croke’s Athletic Club, Thurles. This competition is open to all children from 3rd to 6th class.

Pupils in 3rd and 4th class will take part in the 800m race while, pupils in 5th and 6th class, will take part in the 1000m race.  The competition is scheduled to begin at 10:30am.

Training for the Cross Country championships will be held on Tuesdays from 3pm – 4pm.

Student Council 2019 Elections

Elections were held to appoint the Student Council for the 2019/2020 school year.

Our 2019/2020 Student Council is comprised of seven boys and girls from fifth and sixth class. Please see below the nominated students:

Student Council

The student council aim to achieve the following objectives throughout the new school year:

  1. To create a link between students and teachers
  2. To inform the teachers if there are problems between pupils on the school yard
  3. To engage in activities that will benefit the school and its pupils – fundraising, competitions, collecting tokens, organising activities etc.
  4. To promote the school by word of mouth and by our actions
  5. To help out in the school
  6. By being positive and promoting a positive learning environment for all members of the school community.

Drama

Welcome back to our drama teacher Amy who will be with us on Fridays for the next few weeks.

GAA

Football coaching for children in 3rd to 6th class has commenced with John Brunnock.

There will be both a boys and girls team in the U11 and U13 age categories.

We will keep all children and parents updated about upcoming games.
