It is the last week of the Daily Mile Challenge which the pupils have been doing over the past number of weeks. Our Mile a Day challenge continues in the school for the month of March. This is part of our Active Schools Programme. Staff and pupils are walking for approximately 15 minutes at 9.20 a.m in the school grounds.
As part of our Active Schools Programme we will be starting our “Mile a Day Challenge” on Monday 4th March. Staff and pupils will walk for approximately 15 minutes at 9.20 a.m.
Cross country takes place for 3rd to 6th classes in Thurles on Wednesday the 26th of September.
The annual sports day took place yesterday in the school. In the morning teams rotated in station activities and in the afternoon they competed in the field events of egg and spoon, sack, three legged race and running races. Thank you to the Parents Association for organising drinks and fruit during the day.
A mixed team from 3rd and 4th class took part in a GAA Garda Blitz on Wednesday. They were up against stiff competition but never gave up. The pupils were given hot food and refreshments during the day and a certificate for their participation.
Girls from 3rd to 6th will be taking part in an International Girls Day event in Carrick on Suir RFC on Monday the 25th June from 11 – 1.30 pm. The girls will get a chance to meet with International and Munster players and take part in skills, games and fun.
