Primary Schools Cross Country

Primary Schools Cross Country for local schools takes place on Wednesday the 25th October at 10.30 am in Marlfield GAA facilities in Clonmel.  Third to sixth class boys and girls will be running.

 

Cross Country Thurles

Congratulations to all those who ran in the Cross Country Championships last week in Thurles.

Results:

Individuals

Isobel O’Hora 1st place.

Callum McFadden 2nd place.

Annie O’Keeffe 3rd place.

Teams

Under 11 Girls [3rd and 4th class] –  2nd place for their team of Isobel, Jessica Hanrahan, Jessica Phelan and Beth Kinsella.

Under 13 Boys [5th and 6th class] – 1st for their team – Callum, Jack, Thomas, Kyle

Under 13 Girls [5th and 6th class] – 2nd for their team – Annie, Ava, Kate, Genevieve.

Cross Country Tomorrow

The Primary Schools Cross Country Championship takes place tomorrow Tuesday the 3rd of October.  It will take place in the Crokes Complex in Thurles.  It was postponed from last week due to bad weather.

Ballyneale is competing in Session 2 which starts at 11.30 am.  Third and fourth are competing in the 800m and fifth and sixth in the 1000m.

Pupils are asked to contribute E2 towards cost of transport.  We are grateful to the Parents Association who are generously subsidising the cost of transport.

Futsal

Congratulations to the boys and girls who took part in the Futsal competition last week.  The girls won all their matches.  Everyone enjoyed the day.

Upcoming Blitzes

Ballyneale Girls will be playing a hurling blitz on Tuesday the 3rd October at 11.30 am in Moyle Rovers.  They will be playing in group B against Kilcash, Drangan, Ballyporeen, Gaelscoil Carrick and New Inn.

The boys are playing an under 13, 7 a side hurling blitz against Moyne, Ballytarsna and Anacarty.  Do date confirmed yet.

Futsal Competition

A futsal [indoor soccer] competition takes place for 3rd and 4th class next Tuesday the 26th September in Cahir Park AFC at 10 am.  Pupils are asked to contribute E2 towards cost of transport.  We are grateful to the Parents Association who are generously subsidising the cost of transport.
