Congratulations to all those who took part in the recent athletics event in Clonmel. Pupils competed in the 100m, 300m, Relay, Ball Throw events. The girls won the overall shield.
A team competition – 5th and 6th – Girls gold and boys bronze.
B team competition – 5th and 6th – Girls bronze and boys bronze.
A team competition – 3rd and 4th – girls silver and boys silver.
B team competition – 3rd and 4th – girls gold and boys bronze.
The annual Easter Walk around the block took place today followed by an Easter egg hunt in the school grounds organised by the Parents Association. They also had an Easter Egg for every child. Thank you to all the parents who helped out and to Carolyn for knitting beautiful chicks with a little surprise for all the Infants!
Thank you to The Order of Malta for providing support also on the walk.
The annual Easter walk and egg hunt takes place Friday week the 12th April at 9.30 am. All are welcome to join on the walk on the day.
It is the last week of the Daily Mile Challenge which the pupils have been doing over the past number of weeks. The aim of the initiative is to improve the physical, social, emotional and mental health and wellbeing of children. Countries across the world participate in this challenge – www.thedailymile.ie

Our Mile a Day challenge continues in the school for the month of March. This is part of our Active Schools Programme. Staff and pupils are walking for approximately 15 minutes at 9.20 a.m in the school grounds.

Cross country takes place for 3rd to 6th classes in Thurles on Wednesday the 26th of September.
