Ava Cooney took part in the All Ireland Dance Championships last weekend. She did extremely well and danced her way to victory in 4 events(Slow pairs, Hip-Hop pairs, Freestyle pairs and Rock n Roll). A big well done to Ava, we can’t wait to see these moves!!!!
The County Tipperary Athletic Association is holding a Primary Schools Cross Country event next Wednesday October 26th at the Marlfield GAA grounds in Clonmel. Pupils from third to sixth will be taking part, they having been training hard these past few weeks, everything is going really well. In this competition 3rd/4th will run 600m and 5th/6th will run 800m.
The Primary Schools Cross Country took place on Wednesday, 28th September in Thurles. Everybody took part and it was an exciting day in Thurles. We have real stars for the future here. Gymnastics is still taking place after school through the Be Active Programme run by Ms. Whelan. Pupils from 1st and 2nd class take part.
The Be Active after school programme will be starting once again after Christmas. We will post exact dates nearer the time.
We are now more than half way through the Be Active After School Programme. There has been a real improvement in pupils’ skill level since the programme started. A big thank you again to parents, Jean and Rebecca for working with us on the programme.
