Knitting starts back next Wednesday for 6 weeks [before and after Easter.] We will be making hand puppets, concentrating on the sewing skills of tacking. Pupils will also be shown how to make a tapestry using a latch hook. Knits will include chickens, eggs, shamrocks and bunting.
Last week our Under-11 and Under-13 quiz teams participated in the Credit Union Quiz at local level. Local music acts raised the roof in St. Mary’s Church, Ballyneale on Friday in aid of our school. Staff from Merck, Sharpe and Dohme came to 3rd – 6th classes today as part of Science Week. They carried out lots of fun experiments with the pupils. Thanks to Merck for a fantastic lesson!
Futsal training starts this term for 3rd/4th class with Ian Sheehan. The County Futsal Competition takes place on Tuesday the 2nd and Wednesday the 3rd of December. We will have a girls and boys team representing the school at this competition. Each week pupils will be told when the next training session takes place.
