Little Red Kettle
The Waterford drama group “Little Red Kettle” will be visiting the school on November 14th, from 12 – 1 p.m.
Christmas Annuals
The Christmas annuals are supplied by educate.ie this year. They cost €2 each. Order forms must be returned by November 11th. There are 4 different editions available, one for each classroom. Carnival (Junior and Senior Infants) Fairground (1st and 2nd Class) Parade (3rd and 4th Class) Festival (5th and 6th Class)
Drama
Drama lessons concluded with Amy Hill. The children enjoyed the six weeks of excitement and fun we had with Amy. We would like to say thanks to Amy, and secondly the Parents Association who had kindly subsidised these lessons.
Art
We have been lucky to have been part of the artist in residence scheme. We have had Magueritte Kent to the school every Friday to share her skills and techniques with the children to produce a tapestry which will be displayed in the County Museum in Clonmel. Drumming Concert
All are welcome to our Rhythm and Shakes Concert which takes place in the school next Tuesday the 7th June at 2.30 pm. Pupils from 1st to 6th class will participate in the concert.
School Trip – 1st and 2nd
First and Second Class had a very successful school trip to Castlecomer Discovery Park on Thursday. Ms. Dempsey’s Class completed an adventure trail with obstacles and looked for small creatures in a local stream. They also enjoyed the playground and gift shop at the centre.
Gymnastics
Gymnastics is still taking place after school through the Be Active Programme run by Ms. Whelan. Pupils from 1st and 2nd class take part.
