Third and Fourth Class were asked to invent or create something new at home and bring it into school. They came up some very clever projects. Well done to all and thank you to those who helped out at home.

Hurling Blitz
There is a Hurling Blitz on Wednesday April 5th in Moyle Rovers for the U13s, they are training very well each week under the keen eye of Cornelius McFadden.
Swimming Champs
A hearty Congratulations and well done to the Bartley sisters Eilish and Sarah who competed and medalled at the community games in Thurles at the weekend. They both did very well, Sarah came first in under 8 front crawl which means that she will now compete in the All Irelands this summer.

The annual primary schools quiz will take place on Friday 27th January in the Carraig Hotel at 7 p.m. We are entering two teams in the competition and we wish them the very best of luck.
Irish Minor Swimming Championships
Congratulations to Eibhlís Bartley, a third class pupil, on qualifying to compete in the Irish Minor Schools Championships which takes place on 12 th February 2017 at the National Aquatic Centre, Dublin. Congratulations to the swimmers who represented the school on Saturday in Limerick at the Munster Schools Swimming Championships. A special mention to Eibhlis who qualified for the National Championships in Dublin next February in the 50m Butterfly.
