The Christmas annuals are supplied by educate.ie this year. They cost €2 each. Order forms must be returned by November 11th. There are 4 different editions available, one for each classroom. The Smartest Giant in Town
Junior Infants heard the story of ‘The Smartest Giant in Town’ during the week. On Friday they worked in groups under the theme of clothes. Junior Infants taking part in play groups based on the big book, “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.”
Pupils from infants up to 2nd class put on a show of their zumba moves on Tuesday to parents, grandparents and fellow students. They even got some of the audience moving too!
Bird Boxes and Feeders
With the help of parent, Eugene McGuigan and secondary student, Jack Connolly, each class now has their very own bird box for the garden birds who come into the school garden. The pupils also put up bird feeders outside the classroom windows so they can now easily spot the feathered visitors to the school.
Wow look at some of the infants’ healthy lunches!! Some pictures of healthy lunches were sent to RTE’s Operation Transformation’s Healthy Lunchbox Initiative. We’re sure they’d love ours!

Pea Planting in Infants
Today the Junior and Senior Infants were told all about peas and how tasty they were by one of our senior students. They then sowed pea seeds around the wigwam that first and second class helped make. We hope they grow!
