Clonmel Athletics

Congratulations to all those who took part in the recent athletics event in Clonmel.  Pupils competed in the 100m, 300m, Relay, Ball Throw events.  The girls won the overall shield.

A team competition – 5th and 6th – Girls gold and boys bronze.

B team competition – 5th and 6th – Girls bronze and boys bronze.

A team competition – 3rd and 4th – girls silver and boys silver.

B team competition – 3rd and 4th – girls gold and boys bronze.


Soccer training is continuing after school.  We thank  Ian, Sandra and Ms. Whelan for coaching.  Four teams will represent the school [boys and girls] in Cahir as part of the FAI Primary Schools 5-a-side competition.  The boys competition is today [Thursday the 28th February], the girls competition takes place on Wednesday the 6th March in Cahir.


Our spikeball teams will represent the school at University of Limerick on Thursday the 7th March.  Ms. Whelan is looking for two parents to accompany her.

Swimming Gala

The following pupils will represent the school in the Munster Swimming Gala on the 20th October – Eibhlís, Sarah, Niamh, Tegan and Grace.  Best of luck to all.

Cross Country

Well done to all those who participated in the Cross Country in Thurles on Wednesday.  Congratulations to Jessica who got an individual medal.  All results are on the Tipperary Athletics website.

The next cross country competition is in Marlfield on Wednesday the 24th October.

Cross Country

Cross country takes place for 3rd to 6th classes in Thurles on Wednesday the 26th of September.

GAA Garda Blitz

A mixed team from 3rd and 4th class took part in a GAA Garda Blitz on Wednesday.  They were up against stiff competition but never gave up.  The pupils were given hot food and refreshments during the day and a certificate for their participation.
