Futsal

Congratulations to the boys and girls who took part in the Futsal competition last week. The girls won all their matches. Everyone enjoyed the day.

The Primary Schools Cross Country Championship is on next Wednesday the 27th September in the Crokes Complex in Thurles. Ballyneale is competing in Session 2 which starts at 11.30 am. Third and fourth are competing in the 800m and fifth and sixth in the 1000m. Pupils are asked to contribute E2 towards cost of transport.Continue reading “Cross Country Championship”

Futsal

A futsal [indoor soccer] competition takes place for 3rd and 4th class on Tuesday the 26th September. More details to follow.

Cup Final Victory

Congratulations to the Under 11’s who won the Cup Final on Monday in soccer. Ballyneale played Thomastown NS in the final. Thank you to Ian and Sandra for training the pupils. Well done to all!

John Walsh Memorial Cup

During the week the boys and girls in 5th and 6th took part in a very enjoyable mixed Hurling and Football Blitz as part of the John Walsh Memorial Cup Blitz in Clerihan. They also took part in a tug of war! Schools that took part in the event were Clerihan, Ardfinnan, Ballylooby and Rosegreen.

Under 11 Soccer

Congratulations to the Under 11’s who have qualified for the Cup Final which takes place on Monday next the 19th at 10.15 am. Ballyneale will be competing in Cup Group 2 against Rosegreen and St. Olivers. Best of luck to all.

U13 Football Champions

Congratulations to the girls for winning the cup in the Under 13 Football Blitz on Friday in Moyle Rovers. They played Lismackin in the final and came away triumphant. Well done to all those involved.

Clonmel Athletics
