Drumming

Workshops will begin on Wednesday 1 st May for 1 st to 6 th class pupils for 4 weeks. The cost per pupil is €5.00. The programme this year consist of 2 weeks of drumming, one week of the Polynesian slap dancing Sasa and a week of Indonesian music and some rhythm games.

Our Junior and Senior Infants will also get the opportunity to try out the programme on 1 st May (1 week only) and will cost €1 per pupil. We thank the Parents Association for subsidising the cost of this activity.

Red Kettle Performance

All pupils enjoyed an audience participation performance by Red Kettle Theatre Company in the school recently.

 

Drama

Drama starts this Wednesday coming with Amy Hill for all classes. It will run over the next number of weeks.

Drumming Concert

The Rhythm and Shakes Concert took place in the school on Tuesday the 5th June. Well done to all those pupils from 1st to 6th class who participated in the concert.

Red Kettle Drama

Red Kettle drama group put on their interactive touring play, ‘The Story that Everybody Was In’, in the school on Tuesday.  Pupils got a chance to become characters in the show or joined in the dialogue.  It was lots of fun.

 

 

Competition Winners

Congratulations to Genevieve who recently won in the Lions International Peace Poster Contest in the Carrick-on-Suir District.  She won for her poster on the theme of ‘The Future of Peace’.

Congratulations also to Alvin of 4th class who won a prize in the design a logo competition organised by Kilsheelan and Kilcash soccer club.  The school also received soccer equipment as part of the prize.

Red Kettle

The Red Kettle drama group will bring their interactive touring play, ‘The Story that Everybody Was In’, to the school on Tuesday the 14th November.  It is a highly interactive piece of theatre that incorporates audience participation and always proves to be entertaining and educational.  This will be for all classes.  Pupils are asked to contribute €2 to the cost.
