Green Flag Raising

The raising of the Green Flag for water conservation and awareness took place on Monday the 13th of June. Ms. Dempsey and the Green Schools Committee spoke to parents and pupils about how they achieved the flag and the importance of conserving water. The new Green Flag is now flying proudly outside the school.

Green-Schools Success

The Green-Schools Committee have been successful in their application for the third Green Flag on Water Conservation. Well done to the Green Schools Committee for all their work. Representatives from the school will receive the flag at an awards ceremony in Hotel Kilkenny on the 10th of May.

Green Flag Assessment

We had our Green Flag Assessment for water conservation this morning. The pupils of the Green School Committee told the assessor all about their activities to highlight the need to conserve water. Carrick River Rescue

Carrick River Rescue came in to the school to accept the cheque for E200 that the children raised on their water awareness day last week. Well done to all involved in raising this money for Carrick River Rescue whose premises were badly damaged in the recent floods.

A water awareness day was held last Tuesday in the school. The children dressed in blue on the day and brought in €2 for the Carrick River Rescue.
