Failte romhaibh go dti Scoil Naisiunta Baile Ui Neill.
My name is Michael McHale and I am principal of Ballyneale NS since 1990. I have witnessed the school grow from a small local two-teacher school to a modern four-teacher school with pupils attending from a wide hinterland.
I feel privileged to be the leader of an exceptionally talented, committed and supportive staff. We endeavour to provide a holistic education to our pupils where they feel valued and cherished. Through hard work and commitment our pupils achieve high academic standards in all subject areas.
Pupils enjoy a wide range of sporting activities such as Gaelic football and hurling, soccer, athletics, orienteering and spikeball. Our school also has an award winning choir.
We cater for the needs of all our pupils and our Special Education Teachers ensure that pupils get the extra support they require.
We are extremely lucky with the positive support we get from parents who assist us with many of our in-school and extra-curricular activities such as swimming and gardening, G.A.A., soccer, athletics, spikeball, knitting and school maintenance.
We are very fortunate to work in a community which has a very high regard for its school. Assistance is also given to the school by the people of Ballyneale. They readily and willingly support our fundraising events, and help with the general upkeep of the school.
It is our belief that education is about providing a safe and happy learning environment where each child can reach his or her full potential in all aspects of the curriculum.
